Art isn’t all fairytale photoshoots and landscape shots, it can also act as catalyst of change. Work shouldn’t be a grinding, soul-crushing rat race for the almighty dollar. Consumerism shouldn’t hold a vice-like grip on our lives. And social media, well, we need to throw-off the shackles we so eagerly put on ourselves. Wouldn’t life be better then? Well, I am sure these questions must have hit you hard and coaxed you to give a second thought to the modern lifestyle that you are living. Here are some illustrations by artist Olivier Bonhomme that aim at the modern life that is sophisticated yet complex. He states that insanity of humanity is an endless pool of inspiration.
1. How a modern girl dwells.
The modern young woman faces a world of constant movement and an overwhelming amount of things seeking her attention. In a busy world, the concept of quiet time with yourself can be hard to achieve without a plan. The girls these days wishes or the word love would be more appropriate, to have a space of their own for some time from all the things happening around them and to enjoy those lone moments.
2. For nothing is pure now.
In the modern era nothing we see is pure enough. People are changing so as their deeds of doing well. Even the environment surrounding us is not pure rather we live in a pool of all those polluted and intoxicated water bodies, air and even the land we live on. There is addiction everywhere for everything and pregnancy is affected by it. Even the unborn child in the mother’s womb is not safe.
